WEBINAR: Enhancing K-12 Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Practices (September 17)

Please join the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) School Safety Task Force on Thursday, September 17 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET for a on enhancing behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) practices in kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) schools.
BTAM is a critical component of school safety, helping to identify and address concerning behaviors before they escalate to crises. This session will explore how K-12 leaders and staff can build and strengthen BTAM processes that promote early intervention and prevent school violence, especially when embedded within a multi-tiered system of support. A panel of experts will share strategies on integrating BTAM with existing prevention frameworks; effectively following up with students to ensure meaningful progress; and fostering collaboration among school staff, mental health professionals and law enforcement partners.
