In our various roles as educators, we frequently advise central-office leaders, aspiring superintendents and current superintendents. We often discuss how to find, consider and maintain a superintendent position that aligns well with their professional and personal selves.

The superintendency is evolving with expectations that are increasingly public facing, political and civically oriented.
