My View

Here鈥檚 an uncomfortable truth: Most school improvement plans don鈥檛 fail because of poor effort. They fail because of too many priorities.

Walk into almost any school and you鈥檒l find a plan packed with goals: literacy, math, attendance, behavior, school culture, family engagement. Each one is valid. All of them together are unmanageable. When everything is a priority, nothing is.

This is not a planning problem. It鈥檚 a focus problem. And it鈥檚 one that superintendents must address head-on.
