STATE OF THE SUPERINTENDENCY

Despite persistent challenges, superintendents remain optimistic about their profession.

Some 77 percent of superintendent respondents to a recent statewide survey in New York state indicated they would recommend the superintendency to a child of their own showing aptitude for the role. This marked the highest level since tracking began in 2003.
