Michelle Miller
Michelle Miller has served over 20 years in public education with a concentrated focus on providing student-centered learning environments and opportunities for ALL learners.
Dr. Miller, a lifelong educator, attended Chatham College, Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh to prepare her for a career in education. She began her teaching and administrative career in the Ellwood City Area School District as a Social Studies teacher and then served as their Assistant High School Principal. She then joined the administrative team at Seneca Valley School District as the Principal of Haine Middle School, a 5th and 6th grade middle school. With superintendent leadership experience in the districts of Hopewell, Blackhawk and Wilmington, Dr. Miller possesses a wealth of school leadership experiences.
With an unwavering passion for learning, teaching, and leading, Dr. Miller has been an adjunct professor at Westminster College and has been a guest speaker in teacher and administrative preparation programs in the region. Dr. Miller serves as an executive board member of University of Pittsburgh’s Tri-State Study Council and the Forum for Western PA Superintendents. She also served her community through her leadership on executive boards for Lifesteps, Inc., Beaver County United Way, Beaver County Cancer and Heart Association and the Beaver County Educational Trust. As a previous recipient of Tri-State’s Jean Winsand Distinguished Educator Award and the Pennsylvania Association of Middle Level Education’s Advocate for Public Education Award, Dr. Miller continues her focus on leading and learning.
When she is not with her school family, Dr. Miller resides in South Beaver with her husband, Steve, and their son, Isaac.
