Jennifer Peterson
Jennifer Peterson is an Executive Director of School Leadership with over 26 years of experience in public education. She currently serves in Broken Arrow Public Schools, where she leads and supports PreK-12th principals across 31 diverse campuses while driving instructional excellence.
Jennifer began her career in the classroom, teaching students in grades 1 through 8 across a wide range of settings, including Oklahoma, California, South Carolina, and internationally in Okinawa, Japan with the Department of Defense Education Activity. These diverse experiences helped to shape her deep understanding of student needs, instructional practices, and the importance of culturally responsive leadership.
She now oversees and coaches campus leaders while supervising the Director of School Leadership and the Director of Early Childhood and Parent Involvement, ensuring coherence from early learning through the secondary space. Jennifer is known for aligning vision, systems, and resources to ensure equitable, high-quality learning experiences for all students.
She designs and leads leadership development systems, including the district’s Aspiring Administrators Program, and supports principals through complex challenges involving instruction, operations, and community engagement. Her leadership is grounded in strong relationships, clear communication, and data-informed decision-making.
Prior to her current role, Jennifer served as Director of Elementary Instruction and as Principal of Arrowhead Elementary, where she led a campus of nearly 400 students and oversaw specialized programs supporting diverse learners. She also served as Assistant Principal at Jenks Public Schools, supporting a large intermediate campus focused on strong systems and student-centered outcomes.
Jennifer holds a Master of School Administration and a Bachelor of Elementary Education from Northeastern State University. She is trained through the Âܲ·AVÊÓÆµNational Principal Coaching Academy and is National Institute for School Leadership certified, and has completed extensive professional learning in PLC practices and Kagan strategies.
